Will modifying my protein affect its activity or integrity?

The answer depends on the protein. Many proteins function properly even when
many of the primary amines are modified. We aim to modify between 5-10% of a protein's amines.

What yield can I expect?

The exact yield will vary depending on the particular protein.
Yields are typically in the 80-90% range

My protein is in Tris buffer, can you still modify it?

Yes we can. We remove small molecular weight molecules that may interfere with modification

I have protease inhibitors in my protein solution, will this be a problem?

Please let us know which protease inhibitors are present. Most protease
inhibitors pose no problem.
